Pakistan Calls for Adherence to Islamabad Agreement

Pakistan Calls for Adherence to Islamabad Agreement
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry called on all parties to adhere to their commitments under the Islamabad Agreement. This statement from Pakistan came hours after US President Donald Trump stated that the temporary agreement signed with Iran last month had ended. Pakistan urged all parties to fulfill their obligations under the agreement. The statement emphasized that the Islamabad Agreement remains a foundation for understanding, mutual respect, and shared prosperity in the region and beyond. The US and Iran had signed a 14-point temporary agreement last month to cease hostilities and reopen the Strait of Hormuz to international maritime traffic, titled 'Memorandum of Understanding between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America'. The Islamabad Agreement aimed to establish a ceasefire and restart diplomatic processes between the parties.
