Pakistan Prime Minister Sharif Comments on Islamabad Agreement

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif made statements regarding the visit of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to Pakistan. Sharif said, 'There are no ballistic missiles in the Islamabad agreement. It was never on the agenda.' The plane carrying the Iranian delegation was escorted by Pakistani Air Force fighter jets as it entered Pakistani airspace.
The fighter jets escorting the plane carrying the Iranian delegation in Pakistani airspace are seen as a sign of the importance given to the diplomatic relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Sharif stated that there are those who try to sabotage the agreement worldwide, saying, 'They do not want the Iranians to rise from their ashes and reach the pinnacle of their glory.'
Speaking about ballistic missiles, Sharif said, 'I want to make it clear that there cannot be double standards. It cannot be said that some countries can have ballistic missiles, but Iran cannot. You cannot digest such hypocrisy.'
