Özgür Özel's New Party on the Way: Is This the Last Group Meeting?

CHP Group Chairman Özgür Özel's absolute nullity appeal to the Court of Cassation has been postponed due to the judicial vacation. This situation also means that if the application does not yield results, Özel, who announced that he would establish a new party, will take action soon. On the other hand, it is stated that Özel will attend his last group meeting today. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's expected decision has not been made. The Court of Cassation is expected to review the CHP's absolute nullity case after the judicial vacation, in September. According to NTV's news, Özel will submit the establishment petition of the new party to the Ministry of Interior on Monday, July 27. It has been learned that the name of the party will be “New Party” and the Founding Committee will be mainly composed of deputies. It is expected that Özgür Özel will provide information about the new party and its roadmap at the parliamentary group meeting. This group meeting is also stated to be Özel's last group meeting.
