Escalating Tensions in the Middle East: US Attacks on Iran Enter 9th Night
The US military continued its attacks on Iran for the 9th consecutive night. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the launch of a new wave of attacks against Iran. According to a statement from the Governorate of Khuzestan in Iran, the US launched a second missile attack on the rural areas of the city of Abadan in the evening. ​​​​​​​The air defense systems of Kuwait were activated, and sirens sounded in Bahrain. According to a statement from the US Central Command,

US Central Command (CENTCOM) successfully completed the ninth consecutive night of airstrikes against Iran as of 22:00 (Eastern Time) on July 19. CENTCOM forces targeted Iranian military command centers, air defense and coastal surveillance facilities, naval units, missile and drone launch points, as well as communication networks, in order to further reduce Iran's capability to attack commercial ships and civilian vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces stated that the country's air defense systems responded to drone attacks from Iran. The statement explained that the explosions heard in the country were a result of the air defense systems' response to the attacks.The Ministry of Interior of Bahrain announced that sirens were activated last night. In a statement repeated for the second time since last night, citizens and residents were urged to remain calm and move to the nearest safe location.Meanwhile, the US Embassy in Manama warned that Iran may target certain areas in the center of Manama, the capital of Bahrain, and advised US citizens to be cautious and follow local authorities' instructions.
