School Security to be Enhanced: Teachers to be Able to Reach Police with One Button

Security measures are being increased in schools for the new academic year. Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced that teachers will be able to report to 112 with one button. As the opening of schools approaches, Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced the new security measures to be taken in schools. A button related to teachers has been added to the Hayat 112 Emergency mobile application, Çiftçi stated that in case of any unwanted situation related to security in schools, teachers will be able to report to 112 with one button. Stating that 30,000 garden officers will start working in schools in the new academic year, Minister Çiftçi also added that the gendarmerie and police will continue to take security measures around the schools. Emphasizing that their goal is to make schools safer, Çiftçi stated that the necessary actions will be taken to demolish or secure abandoned buildings that may pose a risk. Stating that their aim is to increase school security, Çiftçi noted that they hold school security meetings twice a year, and after the attacks, they started holding these meetings on a monthly basis.
