30,000 Security Personnel to be Recruited for Schools

A significant step has been taken to strengthen security measures in schools. According to a protocol signed between ministries, 30,000 security personnel will be recruited to increase security in schools during the upcoming academic year. Applications for these positions will be made through İŞKUR. Following the incidents in Kahramanmaraş and Şanlıurfa, critical steps have been taken to enhance security in schools. The Minister of National Education announced that an artificial intelligence-based risk analysis and early warning system will be established. Security cameras in schools will be connected to the Urban Security Management System (KGYS). It has been learned that 30,000 security personnel will be recruited to increase security in 81 provinces starting from September 14, 2026. The number of students, region, security needs, and physical conditions of the schools will be taken into account when assigning personnel. Candidates who meet the requirements will be able to apply after İŞKUR publishes the announcements. The distribution of quotas to provinces and schools is planned to be carried out through governorships.
