First Hearing in Oğuz Murat Aci Case: Decision on Timur Cihantimur

The first hearing of the case regarding the traffic accident that resulted in Oğuz Murat Aci's death was held at the Gaziosmanpaşa 4th Heavy Penal Court. Timur Cihantimur, who is being tried for 'reckless homicide and injury', did not attend the hearing due to his ongoing extradition process in the US. The court decided to continue the arrest warrant for Cihantimur. During the hearing, Oğuz Murat Aci's family and their lawyers were present. The witnesses who testified stated that the vehicle was traveling above the speed limit before the accident and that Cihantimur lost control while trying to navigate a turn. The court also decided to wait for the completion of the extradition process in the US and to monitor the process through the Ministry of Justice. Additionally, the court decided to hear the testimonies of two people who were injured in the accident as witnesses and postponed the trial until September 11.
