Student Amnesty Law to be Introduced to the TBMM Agenda
AK Party deputies will submit a bill to the TBMM Presidency regarding the re-enrollment of associate's, bachelor's, and doctoral students who had their connections cut off. Students who had their connections cut off after July 1, 2022, will be able to start their education in the 2026-2027 academic year if they apply within 4 months after the bill is enacted. The regulation excludes those convicted of terrorism, manslaughter, torture, sexual assault, child abuse, drug trafficking, and those who use fake documents. The proposal, known as the student amnesty, is expected to be submitted to the TBMM Presidency this week. The enactment of the student amnesty bill will allow many students to re-enroll. However, those convicted of certain crimes and those who use fake documents will not be able to benefit from this regulation. The details of the bill contain significant changes that will shape the future of students.
