Student Amnesty Officially Approved

The 15th article of the bill regarding student amnesty, within the 282nd Higher Education Institution (YÖK) Law proposal, has been officially accepted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).
The article states that students enrolled in preparatory classes, associate's degrees, undergraduate completion programs, undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as those who have terminated their education voluntarily, will be eligible for the amnesty.
Additionally, it has been stated that students who were unable to register despite passing the TUS, DUS, and YDUS exams, students with double majors, those who were unable to complete their education in closed second-education programs, and students who were unable to start their education despite having the required ALES and YÖKDİL scores will also be eligible for amnesty, as per the upcoming 'Amnesty Law Implementation Principles'.
No regulations regarding denklik (equivalence) were included in the proposal.
