Storm and Rain in Northeast: Damages Affecting Lives

The storm and heavy rain in Iğdır, Kars, and Ardahan have negatively impacted the daily lives of the people in the region. In Iğdır, the strong winds due to the storm and rain caused roofs to be torn off, homes were flooded, and damage occurred to power lines. The heavy rain also damaged the fruit orchards in the area. Teams are working to assess the damage, clear debris, and repair power outages. In the Sarıkamış district of Kars, the heavy rain caused flooding on the streets and roads. In the İstasyon Mahallesi neighborhood, the floodwaters coming from the mountain blocked the Şehitleri Anma Yürüyüş Yolu and caused damage to a person's pasture area. The rain also affected Ardahan, causing flooding on some roads.
