Nilda Müge Şahin Murder: Suspect Nazir Ilgın Caught at Cemetery

Nazir Ilgın, who was wanted for allegedly killing his 25-year-old ex-girlfriend Nilda Müge Şahin with a gun in Istanbul's Şişli district, was caught in a forested area near Şahin's grave after 7 days. The family of Şahin noticed that there were flowers on her grave and the soil was watered, and they informed the police, which led to an operation in the area. It was learned that the suspect, who was taken into custody by the teams of the Department of Security, had visited Şahin's grave, poured water on it, and left flowers. The incident occurred on August 5, Wednesday, at around 01.00, in the Mecidiyeköy neighborhood. According to the allegations, Nilda Müge Şahin, who was taking her sister to the hospital, stopped to buy medicine from a pharmacy on the way back. At that moment, her ex-boyfriend Nazir Ilgın arrived at the scene on a motorcycle and attacked her with a gun. Şahin, who was seriously injured, died in the hospital after the initial intervention by the medical teams. After the attack, the suspect fled, and the Department of Security's Homicide Bureau teams started an operation to catch him.
