Netanyahu Approves International Stabilization Force's Entry into Gaza for Trump Meeting
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has approved the deployment of the International Stabilization Force (ISF) to the Gaza Strip in order to meet with US President Donald Trump. According to reports in the Israeli media, Netanyahu's decision is seen as a step taken prior to his meeting with Trump. Channel 12's report stated that White House officials conveyed the message that Israel needs to take a concrete diplomatic step in line with Washington's expectations for a meeting between Netanyahu and Trump to take place. Following Israeli Ambassador to the US Yechiel Leiter's contacts with Trump's close associates at the White House, it was decided to approve the entry of the International Stabilization Force into the region as part of the administrative structures envisaged under Trump's Gaza plan. Allegedly, Netanyahu brought forward a security cabinet meeting to approve the deployment of ISF to Gaza ahead of his meeting with Trump.
