Temporary Air Traffic Restriction at Esenboga Airport Due to NATO Summit

A temporary air traffic restriction will be imposed at Ankara Esenboga Airport during certain hours due to the NATO Summit. The Directorate General of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) announced that the restriction will be in effect on July 7, Tuesday, between 10:00-18:00, and on July 8, Wednesday, between 14:00-21:00.According to the announcement by DHMİ, the dates and times of the restriction were shared within the NOTAM framework. As stated in the announcement, civilian and military aircraft carrying foreign state presidents and their official delegations will be exempt from this application. For flights using Esenboğa Airport under this exemption, it will be mandatory to include the 'STS/ATFMX' notation in the 18th field of their flight plans.
