Warning Against Fake Shares Regarding NATO Summit

Warning Against Fake Shares Regarding NATO Summit
The Presidency of Communication's Disinformation Fight Center (DMM) has issued a warning regarding fake shares created by imitating the names and logos of public institutions related to the NATO Summit. These shares are found on some social media accounts and communication channels. The images, documents, and content claiming to be from the "NATO Summit Security Coordination Center" and stating that a priority application portal has been created for primary institution employees are completely fake. It was also stated that there is no center established under this name within official authorities.

The documents and application screens in the images and content do not belong to any system prepared by the relevant official authorities. Such fake shares, created by imitating the names and logos of public institutions, are attempts to mislead the public and obtain personal information through cyber piracy.

In the statement made by DMM, it was emphasized that such shares are attempts to mislead the public and obtain personal information through cyber piracy. Citizens and public employees are urged to be highly sensitive and cautious against such manipulations and to follow developments and announcements only through the official channels of authorized institutions.
