Ankara on High Alert for NATO Summit
Ankara has gone on high alert ahead of the 36th NATO Leaders Summit, scheduled to take place on 7-8 July.Teams have taken to the field to implement security measures. With over 55,000 security personnel set to be deployed, checks have been intensified at the city's entrances and exits, and some roads will be closed.The area around the Presidential Complex in Beştepe, where the leaders will be staying, and the surrounding roads will be closed off. There will also be temporary restrictions on the routes used by convoys.Some adjustments have been made to the city's rail system. The metro will continue to operate during the summit, but Söğütözü station will not be open to passengers. Similarly, Ankaray's Bahçelievler station will be closed during the summit.
