Rare Heart Condition: First Case in Turkey, 68th in the World

After visiting the hospital due to health issues, Şehmus Doğan was diagnosed with Bundgaard Syndrome, a rare genetic heart condition, becoming the first case in Turkey and the 68th in the world.
The condition can cause arrhythmia and sudden death. Experts found that the disease is also present in Doğan's 4-year-old daughter and some family members.
The patient's treatment and the health of his family are being monitored. Diyarbakır Selahaddin Eyyubi State Hospital Cardiology Specialist Dr. Ferdi Ekinci emphasized the importance of diagnosis and treatment for this condition.
