Münir Özkul's Daughter Wins Partial Victory in Copyright Case

Güner Özkul, daughter of the renowned Turkish actor Münir Özkul, has filed a lawsuit against a production company for the unauthorized use of her father's films on television and the internet. The court has ruled in favor of Özkul, finding her partially justified in her claims. Güner Özkul initiated the lawsuit against the production company, alleging that several of her father's films were being broadcast without permission. The films in question include 'Kadifeden Kesesi', 'Gece Kuşu Zehra', 'Üç Sevgili', 'Tatlı Meleğim', 'Yuvasız Kuşlar', 'Hayatım Senindir', and 'Solan Bir Yaprak Gibi'. Through her attorney, Bişar Abdi Alinak, Güner Özkul pursued the case in the Istanbul Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights Court. The court ruled in favor of stopping the unauthorized use of Münir Özkul's films by Melek Film. This decision also protected Münir Özkul's rights from infringement.
