Motorcyclist Crashes into Deputy Governor While Fleeing from Police

In Bartın, a motorcyclist who was attempting to flee from a police checkpoint crashed into Deputy Governor Muhittin Gürel, who was walking on the sidewalk. The incident occurred at a police checkpoint in Bartın's Kırtepe Mahallesi Şadırvan Camii Sokağı. According to reports, the motorcyclist, A.Ç., drove onto the sidewalk in an attempt to escape the police checkpoint. The motorcycle, which was traveling on the sidewalk, collided with Deputy Governor Muhittin Gürel. Gürel, who suffered a shoulder injury from the collision, was taken to the hospital and later discharged after receiving treatment. The motorcyclist, who attempted to flee the scene, was quickly apprehended by police and taken into custody.
