Moldova Faces Electricity Crisis: No Agreement on Emergency Supply
Moldova has been warned of a severe electricity shortage. The country is at risk of power outages on Thursday due to its failure to secure an emergency electricity supply agreement.Moldova's Prime Minister, Vasile Tofan, stated that the country would experience a power shortage due to its inability to secure a contract for emergency electricity supply. He said:

Unfortunately, the situation for tomorrow is very bad, even worse than today. Most likely, tomorrow we will not be able to make even emergency electricity purchases at two to three times the normal price

Tofan warned of the risk of temporary power outages and urged citizens to conserve electricity, especially during evening hours. A 30-day state of emergency has been declared in the energy sector.
