New Mobile Application Offers Businesses a Fresh Opportunity

As part of environmental initiatives in Turkey, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and the Turkish Environment Agency (TÜÇA) have jointly introduced a new application within the Deposited Packaging (DOA) System. The Mobile DOA application aims to integrate markets, grocery stores, and kiosks into the system. Businesses can register on dbys.gov.tr to become manual return points. Participating businesses will receive a 50 kuruş incentive for each returned beverage packaging bearing the DOA logo. The application seeks to encourage the separate collection of packaging waste at its source, increase recycling rates, and support environmentally conscious businesses.
