The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) made a statement regarding the earthquake in Egypt. According to information in the Egyptian media, the earthquake was felt in many cities, including the capital Cairo. Citizens experienced short-term panic due to the nighttime tremor, and no negative reports of loss of life or property damage were initially detected.
