Michelin-Starred Restaurant Owner Faces Lawsuit Over 'Ant-Infused Dessert'
The owner of a two-Michelin-starred restaurant in South Korea is being prosecuted for using ants in desserts. The restaurant owner argued that the ants were only used in a small part of the 15-course tasting menu. In South Korea, ants are not among the insect species approved for human consumption. The prosecution is seeking a one-year prison sentence and a fine of 20 million won. The court will deliver its verdict on September 2.
