2 Suspects Arrested in Mersin for Protesting NATO Summit

In Mersin, a group of suspects protested the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government by staging an unauthorized demonstration. The suspects went to the AK Party Yenişehir District Presidency and showed resistance to the police officers, pouring red paint they had brought with them on a police officer on duty and the garden.
Following the incident, 2 out of 4 suspects who were taken into custody were arrested. The suspects are being investigated for 'Resisting to Prevent Duty' and 'Opposing the Law on Meetings and Demonstration Marches No. 2911'.
After their procedures at the police station, 2 suspects who were referred to the courthouse were arrested by the on-duty magistrate's court. The other suspects were released on judicial probation.
