Driver Who Ran Over Injured People in Mersin Arrested

A driver who hit a motorcycle and ran over the injured people in Mersin's Toroslar district has been arrested by the police. The car collided with the motorcycle while making a left turn. The impact threw the three people on the motorcycle onto the road. The 20-year-old driver got out of the car, removed the child from the hood, and then got back in and fled the scene. According to reports, the driver ran over two injured people on the ground and also lightly hit someone who tried to stop him. The suspect was caught by the police. An investigation revealed that the driver had a previous record of 'endangering public safety' and was given a total of 47,246 lira in administrative fines for 'leaving the accident scene' and 'not following left turn rules'.
