New Test System Developed to Measure Aggressiveness of Breast Cancer
Russian researchers have developed a new test system that can determine the aggressiveness of breast cancer tumors. This system, produced using PCR technology and entirely domestic capabilities, can detect even the smallest changes in gene activity. The Russian Ministry of Health announced that researchers at the Ural State Medical University have developed this new test system. It is stated that the test can be used in scientific research and clinical applications. The system operates in real-time, analyzing the activity of the 'mTOR' gene. Additionally, two reference genes, 'TBP' and 'RPLP0', are examined simultaneously to increase the accuracy and sensitivity of the results. The new test method aims to provide experts with a clear picture of the tumor's behavior by determining the activity levels of the relevant genes. The new test system developed in Russia is seen as an important step in the treatment of breast cancer.
