Mexico's President Sheinbaum Announces No Damage After 7.3 Magnitude Earthquake

Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum stated that no damage has been reported so far after a 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of the Pacific Ocean. The earthquake prompted a tsunami warning for Mexico's southern coast and Guatemala. Sheinbaum announced on social media that she had spoken with the governors of Chiapas and Tabasco, and that no negative situations had been reported in either state so far.In neighboring states, emergency protocols were activated, and local, state, and federal teams continued fieldwork to detect potential structural damage in areas where the earthquake was felt most intensely. Chiapas Governor Eduardo Ramirez reported that there were no adverse effects in the state after the earthquake and announced that administrative activities would be temporarily suspended.
