Medvedev Announces: Army's Personnel Needs Fully Met
Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev announced that approximately 200,000 people signed contracts with the Ministry of Defense in the first half of the year, and the army's personnel needs have been fully met. Medvedev, at the interagency commission meeting on the replenishment of the Armed Forces with personnel, noted that a good momentum has been gained in the equipping of units with unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems.Medvedev stated that about 40,000 personnel have started serving in these units. During the same period, more than 16,000 Russian citizens also went to the "special military operation" zone as volunteers. Emphasizing that there is no need for any mobilization, Medvedev said that such statements are falsehoods spread by the enemy and are aimed at provoking the public.Medvedev's statements were also a response to propaganda content spreading on social media, such as "Do not wait for mobilization, go serve for money." Medvedev emphasized that such posts are untrue and are only aimed at provoking the public.
