Medvedev Makes Statements After Visiting Tehran

Medvedev stated that the visit of the Russian delegation to Iran was carried out under the direct instruction of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He met with Iranian President Mesud Pezeşkiyan and conveyed Putin's condolences, discussing Russian-Iranian bilateral relations and the current situation in a comprehensive manner. Medvedev described the atmosphere in Tehran as, 'The city is living and developing, the situation here has left a positive impression on me.' Medvedev strongly criticized the US military actions against Iran, stating, 'The US's aggressive attitude towards Iran was completely unprovoked. There was no reason for the American attack.'

The death of many people in Iran due to US attacks is a stain on the honor of those who made this decision.

Medvedev emphasized the importance of negotiations, saying, 'Negotiations are always better than no negotiations, we understand that. However, they must lead to a result.' Medvedev recalled that Russia has made proposals to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue through peaceful means.
