Ministry of Education Warns Schools to Protect Personal Data

The Ministry of Education has asked schools to review their internet sites, social media accounts, and online platforms and remove any content containing personal data. The Ministry issued a 10-point warning on the protection of personal data. This warning stated that sharing personal data of students on digital media is not allowed. It was emphasized that personal data should only be processed for specific and legitimate purposes, in accordance with the requirements of the service, and that the data should not be shared with unauthorized persons. Lists, documents, photos, videos, announcements, and files containing personal data that have been published on school and institution internet sites, social media accounts, or online platforms will be reviewed and removed from public access.
