Maysak Typhoon's Impact: Dam Breach, Two Deaths, Hundreds Evacuated

The Maysak Tropical Storm, which has been affecting southern China, has caused severe flooding in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Two people have lost their lives in the disaster, and hundreds have been evacuated as the flood alert in the region has been raised to the highest level.
According to local authorities, the floods have damaged the Liulan Dam in Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The dam's body has collapsed in two sections, causing a breach.
Following the dam's damage, more than 300 people living in the surrounding area have been evacuated to higher ground due to the risk of possible flooding. Authorities have reported that there have been no casualties from the dam breach so far.
In Fangchenggang City, one of the areas most heavily affected by the typhoon, floodwaters have inundated villages. According to China Central Television (CCTV), rescue teams have evacuated over 800 people to safe areas so far.
