Monkey Panic in Hatay: Captured Monkey to be Protected

A monkey found wandering the streets of Antakya, Hatay, was taken under protection by authorities.The monkey was spotted in the Serinyol Mahallesi and reported to the authorities by citizens. Following the notification, teams from the Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, with the support of the Metropolitan Municipality and AFAD, captured the monkey. The monkey was taken to the Hatay Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks and underwent a health check. It is learned that the monkey will be sent to the Tarsus Nature Park.The monkey was found to have lightly injured one person. Authorities have launched an investigation into how the monkey ended up in the area. The monkey underwent a health check after being captured.
