Foreign National Accused of Torturing Seagull to be Deported

A Bangladeshi national, M.F. (34), was arrested by police in Istanbul's Üsküdar district for allegedly torturing a seagull. An administrative procedure was applied to the suspect under the Animal Protection Act, and deportation proceedings were initiated due to the suspect being deemed a threat to public order, security, or health.On July 18, police launched an investigation into a report of a person torturing a seagull in the Sultantepe neighborhood of Üsküdar. The suspect, identified as Bangladeshi national M.F. (34), was found to have two missing legs and was deemed to have mental health issues. The suspect, who was not found at the scene, was captured shortly after.According to information obtained from the veterinary clinic where the seagull is being treated, the animal's wing was found to be broken, and its life is still in danger. An administrative procedure was applied to the suspect, but no judicial action was deemed necessary.
