Maradona's Last Words Before Death Revealed in Court: 'I Don't Want Anything, That's All'

In Argentina, a key witness testified in the case of Diego Armando Maradona's death. In the trial held in Buenos Aires, Maradona's masseur Nicolas Taffarel stated that the legendary footballer's last words to him a day before his death were 'I don't want anything, that's all'. Taffarel, who had been working with Maradona since 2018, said that the football legend's health had deteriorated rapidly in the last two weeks of his life. On November 24, 2020, when Taffarel visited Maradona, he found that Maradona had not left his bed for days and tried to persuade him to come out of his room. Taffarel also mentioned that Maradona's personal doctor, Leopoldo Luque, had been alerted several times about Maradona's condition, with messages saying 'Completely swollen', 'He has been sleeping for 26 hours', and 'You should come, Leito'.

He wouldn't get out of bed, wouldn't eat, wouldn't change his clothes, wouldn't take a bath, and didn't want to have a massage.

Additionally, Taffarel claimed that Maradona's diuretic medication was stopped shortly before his death.
