Fire on Migrant Boat in English Channel: 157 Rescued

A fire broke out on a migrant boat in the English Channel, resulting in the rescue of 157 people. The boat, which was carrying migrants attempting to reach England, became inoperable after the fire started in the engine. French and British teams were dispatched to the scene and safely evacuated all migrants from the boat. The French Maritime Prefecture for the English Channel and North Sea reported that the boat had departed from France on Monday evening. According to the statement, five people were rescued during the night, but the other migrants refused the French team's offer of help due to their determination to reach England. A total of 157 people were taken to the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer for medical checks.
