Search for Malaysia Airlines 'MH370' Extended for Another Year
The Malaysian government has decided to extend the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines 'MH370' flight for another year. The plane, which had 239 people on board, disappeared over the Indian Ocean 12 years ago and so far, only pieces of the plane have been found. Transport Minister Anthony Loke announced that the search operation will be extended from July 1 and will be valid until June 30, 2027. Loke stated that if the wreckage is found, the company will receive $70 million. Malaysia resumed the search for the 'MH370' flight in the Indian Ocean in December 2025. Over the years, some parts confirmed to belong to the plane have washed up on the coasts of Africa and islands in the Indian Ocean, and these have been used to determine the possible location of the wreckage. The Ministry of Transport stated that the latest search will be conducted in a targeted area where the probability of finding the plane is highest.
