Discoveries in the cave can rewrite human history

Excavations in the Üçağızlı II Cave in Hatay have uncovered evidence of similar behaviors between Neanderthals and modern humans. This discovery has left scientists in awe. Neanderthals and modern humans exhibited similar habits in their daily lives. İsmail Baykara, a lecturer in the Department of Archeology at Gaziantep University, stated that the findings suggest Neanderthals and Homo sapiens likely shared more than just a landscape. The research revealed that both species produced similar tools, hunted the same types of animals, and may have even created jewelry from Columbella rustica sea snail shells.
