Rescue Operation Underway for Person Trapped in Cave

A rescue operation is underway for a person trapped in a cave in Çorum, between the villages of Pancarlık and Kavacık, while searching for treasure.AFAD, gendarmerie, fire brigade and health teams have launched an operation in the area, with security measures taken at the entrance of the cave. Of the 5 people who entered the cave, 4 came out, while 1 person remains trapped. It was learned that the individuals, who entered the cave to search for treasure, were conducting unauthorized excavations.AFAD teams, who descended into the cave with ropes, detected gas inside. As security measures are increased in the area to determine potential risks due to the gas, efforts are ongoing to safely rescue the trapped person.
