Maersk Suspends Operations at Ukraine's Chornomorsk Port Due to Increased Russian Attacks

The world's largest container shipping company, Maersk, has temporarily suspended its operations at the Chornomorsk port in Ukraine.
This decision comes after Russia increased its attacks on Ukraine. Maersk had previously halted export cargo handling at Chornomorsk about a week ago. Now, it will redirect import cargo to the port of Constanta in Romania.
In a statement on Maersk's official Ukrainian-language Telegram channel, the reason for the decision was cited as the 'current situation affecting operational activities.'
Russian attacks on the Chornomorsk region have also targeted dry cargo and bulk cargo ships in the area. Maersk has stated that customers can contact the company's delivery unit for the organization of land transportation between Romania and Ukraine, as well as for determining freight and transit conditions.
