Hezbollah Operation Cell in Southern Lebanon Targeted by Israeli Airstrike
The Israeli military has reportedly targeted a Hezbollah operation cell in the village of Mansuri in southern Lebanon. The Israeli Air Force carried out the airstrike, which is one of the rare instances of Israeli air attacks in Lebanon in recent days. The Israeli Army Radio described the attack as 'relatively unusual', highlighting the focus of Israeli operations in southern Lebanon on ground movements aimed at destroying infrastructure with explosives. The Lebanese official news agency NNA reported that the Israeli military had targeted the town of Mansuri with artillery fire.Lebanese President Joseph Avn stated that there had been 'positive progress' in the talks in Rome regarding borders and prisoners. The 'Framework Agreement' proposes the disarmament of armed groups and the deployment of the Lebanese army in the areas in question in exchange for Israel's phased withdrawal from Lebanese territory, starting from pilot areas. The attack occurred just a few days after the completion of the 7th round of Lebanon-Israel negotiations.
