Conditions for Ceasefire and Israeli Withdrawal in Lebanon

In his statements regarding the recent developments in Lebanon, Hezbollah MP Ali El Mekdad expressed that the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanon and a comprehensive ceasefire could be achieved within the framework of the Islamabad agreement.
El Mekdad emphasized that they rely on the provisions of the Islamabad agreement to force Israel to withdraw from South Lebanon, stating that 'the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese territory without any redeployment' is their primary demand.
The Deputy Chairman of Hezbollah's parliamentary bloc noted that there is no difference between the policies of the US and Israel, and that Washington has put the entire Middle East on the negotiating table. El Mekdad stated that the parties are not interested in peace in the region and are blocking all initiatives, saying 'We do not trust any side and expect the worst.'
