The Great Louvre Heist: Thieves Behind Million-Euro Jewelry Theft Revealed to Have Been Underpaid

Two suspects were hired just days before the heist and agreed to do the job for 20-25,000 euros. The theft occurred on October 19, 2025, and the thieves made off with approximately 100 million dollars worth of jewelry from the Louvre Museum. The incident sparked widespread international attention. The statements of the two suspects believed to have carried out the heist have been made public. They claim to have entered the Louvre's Apollo gallery on the orders of a client who was later disappointed by the quantity of stolen goods. The two suspects stole antique jewelry, including crowns, brooches, necklaces, and earrings, worth nearly 100 million euros during the heist. However, they dropped a historically significant crown adorned with jewelry, which had been worn by Empress Eugenie, the wife of Napoleon III, during their escape.
