Lavrov Meets with Niger's President Tchiani: Trade, Investment, and Security on the Agenda

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Niger's President Abdurrahman Tchiani and Foreign Minister Bakari Yau Sangare in Niamey, discussing ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and security. During his meetings in Niamey, Lavrov also discussed economic and trade issues, as well as humanitarian aid and security cooperation.

The discussions covered a range of issues aimed at further strengthening Russia-Niger relations, including the expansion of mutually beneficial ties in trade, economy, investment, and humanitarian aid.

The parties emphasized their commitment to strengthening Russia-Niger relations and supporting a more just and multipolar world order. They also expressed their opposition to 'neo-colonial' policies and practices. The Russian side pledged full support for Niger's policies on sustainable development and counter-terrorism.
