Kremlin Announcement: Putin on the Latest Situation in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin made significant statements during his meeting with military officials. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Putin announced the 'complete liberation' of the Luhansk People's Republic and 'significant progress' of Russian troops in Donetsk.During the meeting, Putin assessed the current situation in Ukraine. Peskov noted that the meeting lasted over an hour and that Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov also made a comprehensive presentation on the current situation in the special military operation zone.Peskov stated, 'The strategic initiative in the special military operation zone is completely in the hands of the Russian troops.' He also mentioned that work on creating a 'security zone' in Ukraine's Kharkiv and Sumy regions is proceeding as planned.The Kremlin Spokesman noted that Konstantinovka in the Donetsk region was also 'completely liberated thanks to the heroism of the Russian soldiers'.
