Kremlin Criticizes EU: Turning into a Military-Political-Economic Bloc

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the European Union is rapidly transforming into a military-political-economic bloc. Peskov evaluated the profound change in Europe as 'a new reality in Europe, which Russia is taking into account.'Russia argues that the European Union is taking rapid steps in military mobilization and militarization. Peskov pointed out that European countries are allocating massive budgets to arm their economies and said, 'Enormous amounts of money are being spent on the militarization of national economies.'Peskov also assessed Germany's decision to issue an arrest warrant for a Ukrainian citizen regarding the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipeline.

The issue is that a military identity is being formed within the European Union as a whole. The EU itself is turning into a military-political-economic bloc. This is a completely different reality.

Peskov stated that this decision proves the theses that Russia has been advocating for from the very beginning and called on EU member states:

All EU countries, when discussing Ukraine's EU membership prospects or rapprochement processes with the EU, must necessarily take into account this 'Nord Stream' case.

The Kremlin Spokesman also criticized Germany's stance in harsh terms, saying, 'It is highly paradoxical that Germany continues to fund the Kiev regime's military machine.'
