Kremlin: Kiev's New Arms Demands Cannot Stop Special Military Operation
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Ukraine's constant demands for new weapons from the West cannot hinder Russia's special military operation from achieving its goals. Peskov emphasized that Moscow is open to a diplomatic solution but the operation will continue due to Kiev's lack of willingness to negotiate. Ukraine's continuous demands for new weapons will not prevent the special military operation from reaching its objectives.

For us, the preferred option has always been to resolve this conflict through political and diplomatic means. If the Kiev regime shows goodwill and takes the necessary important decisions, everything can move towards a peaceful path.

The Kremlin Spokesman noted that the reason for the lack of a negotiating platform for a peaceful solution is solely due to Ukraine, and the operation will continue until its goals are fully achieved. Peskov also evaluated the diplomatic atmosphere before the NATO Summit in Ankara, criticizing statements from alliance members:

During the preparation process for this summit, we heard many statements that concern our country. Unfortunately, these were not about constructive cooperation or dialogue, but rather about confrontational statements.

Russia keeps communication channels with the US open regarding the resolution of the Ukraine crisis, Peskov confirmed, and expressed expectations for Washington's steps:

You know that we maintain contact with the Americans through working channels. We hope that their efforts to put this situation on a path of peaceful development will ultimately be successful.
