Kremlin: The Escalation in the Gulf Occupies the US Agenda
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the situation in the Gulf region has moved away from stability and entered a new stage of deterioration. Peskov noted that for this reason, the US is not currently in a position to be concerned with resolving the Ukrainian crisis.Drawing attention to the escalating tensions in the Gulf, Peskov emphasized that the instability in the Middle East is a source of global concern.

We see that the Americans are currently busy with other matters. It is a common concern for all of us that the situation in the Gulf region is far from stable and, on the contrary, has entered a new stage of deterioration.

Despite this, Peskov indicated that communication channels with Washington remain open, and that the US may return to its mediating roles in the future, citing signals to this effect:

However, the signals we receive through our well-known and open communication channels indicate that the Americans are ready to continue their mediation efforts in resolving the Ukrainian crisis once they have alleviated their own problems.

In evaluating the new sanction threats from Washington, Peskov stated that Russia is monitoring the process with a level head.

As for the issue of sanctions, we are carefully listening to, recording, and analyzing the statements made at both the working level and the level of the US President.
