Kocaeli Cosmetic Factory Fire: Case Filed Against 7 Defendants

A case has been filed against 7 defendants regarding the Kocaeli cosmetic factory fire that resulted in the loss of 7 lives.The indictment, reviewed by the Gebze 7th Heavy Penal Court, requests that the 7 defendants be sentenced to 2 years 8 months to 22 years 6 months in prison for 'reckless manslaughter and injury'.The fire occurred on November 8, 2025, at a cosmetic factory in the Mimar Sinan neighborhood of Dilovası, Kocaeli, and claimed several lives. As a result of the fire, Tuncay Yıldız also lost his life on November 15.
