Fire in Kızılırmak Deltası Bird Paradise Wetlands Extinguished

A fire broke out in the Kızılırmak Deltası Bird Paradise, known for its natural beauty and diversity, in the Bafra district of Samsun. The fire occurred in a wetland area within the boundaries of Yeşilyazı and Altınova neighborhoods. Following a report, firefighting and forestry teams were dispatched to the area. Due to the difficulty of the terrain, firefighting vehicles had trouble accessing the area. The fire was tackled with the help of arazöz vehicles from the Bafra Forestry Administration. The fire was extinguished thanks to the joint efforts of the teams. As a result of the fire, about 20 acres of wetland were damaged. The teams carried out a cooling operation in the area.
