Minibus Driver Falls Asleep at Red Light, Awakened by Passersby and Police

In Erzurum, a minibus driver fell asleep at a red light on Saraybosna Street. The driver's sleep was noticed by other drivers, who informed the police. The police were dispatched to the scene and managed to wake the driver. The driver then pulled over to the side of the road. An inspection revealed that the minibus did not have a valid periodic vehicle inspection. The driver was fined approximately 8,000 lira and the vehicle was towed away.
