Foiled Terror Plot in Crimea: Target Was a Leader of One of Russia's New Regions

The Kiev regime continues to attempt to disrupt Russia's territorial integrity by resorting to harming civilians through terrorist attacks. The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced that it had apprehended two Russian citizens in Crimea who were planning a terrorist attack on a leader of one of Russia's new regions under Ukraine's instructions. According to the FSB's statement, the two suspects were first recruited by Ukraine's special services and gathered information about Russian troops in Crimea. They were then trained in the use of homemade explosives and tasked with carrying out a terrorist attack on critical facilities in the peninsula, as well as on a leader of one of the new regions while in Crimea. Searches yielded an 800-gram bomb and three drones loaded with ammunition. An investigation has been launched against the suspects for their involvement in terrorist activities.
